We are using Slurry seals to fill existing pavement surface defects as either a preparaory treatment for other maintenance treatments or as a wearing course. 

The aggregate should be clean, durable, crashed, suitable characterized and 
unified. 
The asphalt emulsion used by IRTA for Slurry Seal is a three parts system consisting of asphalt, water and emulsifying agent. 

Mostly, the llers and additives such as Portland cement, slacked lime or liquid aluminum sulphate are used in small amounts as stabilizer or chemical modifier.
